Lyrics
You called me out of the blue, I didn’t know who I was talking to. Then I caught the tone of your voice. You became an obvious choice. It’s been sixteen years or more since we worked those nights on the E.R floor patching bodies and mistreated hearts and families lives that have fallen apart. Chorus - Is there anything I can do you called me out of the blue. Your voice is all broken and your thoughts there all misspoken so a woman came to the phone saying something in a frantic tone. Your friend he’s quite ill and he wonders if you remember him still. Chorus I got in my car and drove away. I didn’t know what I was going to say so I put my hand in the air and began to prey. Please help me do what’s right I’m not sure how this is going to end tonight. Chorus Bridge- It’s been so long and you drifted away I’m at a loss for words I don’t know what to say. By the sound of your voice it’s easy to tell the years that have gone by have not treated you well. Chorus I made it down to your street. I saw the cruiser with you in the back seat. I walked up and looked in your eye you let out an awful sigh. I have made some bad choices. It’s so bad now I’m hearing voices. I’m not sure how this will end but I’m glad you came by my friend. Be well is all I could say. My friend I am only a phone call away. Chorus Get well my friend call me when you can. Copyright 2006 Jim Parisella
