The Wilderness Experience

To God be the glory. What's up world, I'm here. Whether you term this movement "Holy Hip Hop", gospel rap?,Christian rap?, they had me in mind. I call it Hip-Hop. I'm a bonafide hip-hop head. Hip-hop in its truest form elevates and encourages, rather than tearing down, misrepresenting, and degrading. I've been rapping since 1994 (secularly) entering the gospel rap scene in 1999. All things in time I was once told; it appears that the time has come for Philosipha to be heard. I wondered what I would do with my rapping skills when I got saved because I just could not see it working (according to worldly views, I couldn't see it happening). I am so glad God revealed to me one day, that he was not trying to turn me into somebody else, just make me a better Philip. The Bible clearly declares in Roman 10:14 "How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher." People of God, it's time for ministry beyond the four church walls. There are still many people to be reached and souls to be saved; I just want to do my part and let God know I'm available for his ministry in the capacity that he wants to use me. As of this day, it will be through the Holy Hip Hop movement. God has afforded us the vehicle of Behind the Cross Records to push our music, so be on the look out for us. We do understand that a change is difficult, we also realize that it is sometimes necessary. Lastly, let it be known that my music is for all who will listen. He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the paradise of God.
