5 Song EP
by Hank Crane
HANK CRANE is a Boston-area band originally formed in 1996 by Eric Stevenson and Craig Thomas. Eric began his career in 1989 as drummer and founding member of Only Living Witness. After releasing two albums on Century Media Records, as well as touring Europe and performing throughout the Northeast, he left in 1995 to pursue other musical interests.

Switching to lead vocal and guitar, he contacted drummer Craig Thomas, and in May of 1996 they formed Hank Crane. After a few line-up changes Adam joined the band, then guitarist Mark Donahue in 1997. After several shows that year they recorded and released a 5-song CD and distributed over 350 copies to radio stations and music publications throughout the United States and Europe.

Hank Crane built a following by performing in and around Boston, opening for such artists as Rivers Cuomo and Old 97's. They also received regular rotation on local music programs hosted by the major Boston-area radio stations, as well as on several Americana programs in Europe, Australia, and Asia.

"Hank Crane's tone is a veritable bonanza of twang. The songs are country rock, with something loud added ... country shuffles crossing over into metal breakdowns. If you like Johnny Cash, Motörhead... then Hank Crane would rock your pants off." -Northeast Performer
