What is this? It's been thirty-two years since John Warren published his work, but he hasn't been idle. On June 17th he released his CD "SunSpot On A Simple Mind" on Briola Records at The Boston Street Café. The CD features eight original songs with a lyrical quality akin to his poetry but delivered with vocals not unlike Springsteen and with the best band this side of Asbury Park. While performing locally two years ago, he rekindled his relationship with Brian Maes, (of RTZ, Peter Wolf Band, and the Brian Maes Band), and took the next step to begin recording his own songs. The CD was recorded and produced by Brian Maes at the Briola Records Studio. It showcases performances by John Warren, Brian Maes, Kook Lawry, Tim Archibald, Tony DiPietro, and Marybeth Maes..
