Henry Glenn was born in 1948 in Atlantic City, NJ. He had a rough childhood moving out on his own at the age of 8. He stayed at some friend's houses and eventually lived under the boardwalk in Atlantic City. At the age of 10 he found a job working with horses and zebras that dived into pools of water at Willow Grove Park. At the age of 17 he joined the Marine Core and worked in an artillery unit in Vietnam in support of the 9th Marines.

In November, 1969 Henry was honorably discharged and moved back to New Jersey to the town New Gretna. He got a job at a local horse ranch and later started a well business. In 1971 he met his wife Sandra and married soon after. After the birth of their first two children the family relocated to Florida. They had three more children as Henry worked as a ranch hand and did construction work. He delivered all five children himself at the family's home. The family soon became a victim of a marriage gone bad as Henry and Sandra divorced in 1987.

Henry stayed in Florida for seven more years working at an air boat rental business. In 1994 he moved back to New Jersey. His life was in shambles and he felt very depressed. The thoughts of suicide slowly crept into his mind. In the winter of 1998 he got into his van and drove to Folly Beach, SC where he wanted to end it all. But something happened... he changed his mind. Henry started to play at local bars and on the sidewalks for tips and drinks. He knew how to play only about 30 songs in the beginning but his song list quickly grew. Henry soon started to write and perform original songs. He lived in his van behind Follywood for several years and developed a local following for his music. Visitors to Folly Beach soon discovered the down to earth personality of Henry Glenn and his unique gift as a musician.

In 2004 a local independant label, Raze Records, released his first studio album entitled "Don't Piss Off The Songwriter". Local radio stations supported the album by playing several songs on a regular basis. Two local TV stations utilized his song "Vacation" for summer promos in 2004. Henry continues to perform live at Planet Follywood and has done several live and studio recordings the past year. The majority of Henry's recordings are basically him singing and playing the guitar. This fall a fully produced album will be in the works.

Unconditional Love is my favorite! Anyone know if Henry is still playing and in Florida? He also is a wonderful person. I would like to reconnect with him and hear him play again. If anyone knows where to find him now, please let me know. Thanks! -From an old friend...Grace
