You might want to with the On Demand manufacturing and distribution option and then when you are selling enough copies to warrant an investment on your part you can pre-manufacture a larger quantity of discs and switch to the distribution only option. Also, if you start off with distribution only, and you run out of discs, you can switch to On Demand Manufacturing and Distribution so you dont have to reorder more discs.

What is the On Demand Manufacturing/Distribution program?

Its like you your own private Manufacturing and Distribution deal all in one, where youll earn money immediately for your work. You do not need to find a duplicator and make 300, 500, or even a 1,000 discs.

Youll choose one of the On Demand Manufacturing package options we offer. Click here for a list. And set your selling price for the disc. Youll then supply a content master along with your digital artwork and well store your master and artwork in our servers archives. When a product is ordered well copy your release onto a high quality disc using a high-quality duplicator. Well then print the graphics right on the discs using advanced printing technology, and print the cover and tray inserts on a state-of-the-art color digital printer. After we cut and fold the printing, and assemble and wrap the package, we drop it in a mailer and send it off to your customer, immediately as the order comes in. If you need mastering services or graphic design and layout services, we can help you out as well. Click here for more info.

The sign up cost for On Demand Manufacturing is a one-time setup fee of $29.95 per release. What is the quality level of the products that you manufacture?

Excellent. We wouldnt make a product that would look unprofessional to a music buying consumer. We have over one million dollars worth of equipment that we use to manufacture discs everyday. This is the very same equipment that we use when bands and artists come to us and order 100 1000s of discs from us! If youre worrying about the terms CD-r and digital dont. Youre in good company. We dont like to name drop, but since you asked, we have manufactured millions of on demand discs for many well known artists, including The Black Crowes, The Allman Brothers Band, KISS, Peter Frampton, Jewel, Phil Lesh form The Greatful Dead, Charlie Daniels, and many, many, many more.

We use very high-quality printing and duplication methods so you can be sure that your customers are getting top-quality products. Discs are duplicated onto professional-quality recordable media, then we print directly on the disc using advanced printing technology which is water-proof and scratch resistant. No paper labels or inkjet printing are used. Packaging inserts and jackets are printed using a state-of-the-art digital printing system that produces sharp, vivid color. All products are then shrinkwrapped for protection before shipping. An untrained eye will not be able to tell any difference between the products we manufacture and the products you see on store shelves.

Can I get a sample?

If you're having us make your discs On Demand, we need a master and a backup master. We need the backup just in something happens to the first master during shipping or storage.

What if I already have discs made, ready to sell?

When the item sells, we'll collect the money, pack and ship the item, and notify you of the order. We'll keep only $3 per disc and send you the rest.

What is the setup fee for?

The $29.95 setup fee covers the scanning or preparation of your artwork, converting your audio into sound clips or creating a trailer, creating your web page, putting your products into our inventory. This is a one-time fee per title - you never have to pay it again.

Do you offer full album as well as individual song downloads?

Yes. We believe that you should be able to control what content is made available to your fans. You can choose to sell your whole album via download, as well as individual songs. You can even select which songs will be offered as a download. For instance, you might not offer bonus tracks as an individual download, or your main single. Either way, you control what your fans get to purchase.

Can I still sell my downloads on other sites?

Sure. Please keep in mind that Discark was designed with your best interest at heart. For instance, Discark is the only site that reports to you who bought your download. This is important for you building a fan database. Other download sites like iTunes and Napster do not tell you who purchased your download. You need this info to grow your fanbase!

How do buyers find my disc?

Once your web page is created, we'll send you a link to the page which you can put on your website, banners, posters, flyers, etc. or email to your fans. The link takes them directly to your Discark page where they can then preview and purchase your disc. In addition, buyers that are already on our site can find your page by browsing our inventory or searching for keywords assigned to your item.

How often will I get paid?

We send out checks twice a month for the prior weeks sales. As long as you have at least $10 due to you a check will be processed and mailed to you.

If Discark is making my discs, can I buy discs to sell?

Sure. You can buy as many or as few discs as you like to sell at events, shows, etc. at our On-Demand Manufacturing/Distribution rates, minus $3 each. We deduct $3 per disc because there is no distribution fullfillment provided on these orders.
